In Rome at the preview, the cameras snap photos of Thomas and Hope together. Thomas makes a speech about how grateful he is that Hope shared her vision with him.

On the Spencer jet, Liam looks impatient and asks Bill if they’re landing soon. Bill recaps that the car will take him right to Piazza Navona and hopefully, he’ll catch the end of the preview. Liam laments that he’s been so focused on Thomas he hasn’t given Hope any of the credit she deserves. He’s there to make up for being a short-sighted fool. Bill tells him there’s nothing short-sighted about looking out for your family. He feels that Hope knows how much Liam loves her and adds there is no questioning her commitment to him.
At the presser in Rome, the reporters speak to Brooke, who touts her daughter’s success. The reporters question Ridge and Brooke about being in Italy together and ask about their plans for the future. Ridge changes the subject by doling out credit to Steffy and Carter. He talks about the company being in very good hands for the future with them and his son, Thomas. Thomas speaks again and then Hope thanks the press to end things. Ridge tells Brooke that Rome loves her. Brooke notes, “Rome makes you very sentimental.” She worries his drive and passion is going away. Ridge is just tired. He knows one thing; they have to quit hurting each other. Brooke coaxes that they can’t let the fire go out.
In Italy, the Spencer jet has landed and Bill tells Liam the car is on the tarmac as promised. They embrace and Liam tells his father he and Hope didn’t have the best goodbye, but today will change all that… when they see each other for the first time it’s going to be a moment they won’t forget.

Behind the scenes of the preview, Steffy sings Hope’s praises. This means a lot to the blonde. The two resolve to do a better job of being friends. Steffy vows not to question her about her feelings anymore. She said she has everything under control and today she proved it!
Thomas joins Hope, who is still beaming after her interaction with Steffy. She thinks it might be one of the best days of her life. She confides that she texted Liam earlier and still hasn’t heard back. That’s the one negative. Thomas urges her to put her phone away. They’re in Rome and the sky’s the limit. “What do you want to do?” Hope wants to go out and see the city before they have to go back to their everyday lives. “You can’t leave Rome without seeing the Colosseum.” Thomas says, “Done. Let’s go!”
On the terrace, Carter finds Brooke reflecting. She admits she’s worried about Ridge. Carter says, “He’s just down, that’s all.” He asks about the rift with Taylor. Brooke confirms they’re no longer friends. He’s sorry and knows Ridge is sorry too… but her being there is good for him. Ridge walks up with an Italian woman, who urges them to go look through the Aventine keyhole to see their future; their destiny. Brooke gushes, “Destiny?!” She tells Ridge she’ll go to change and meet them there. Ridge worries she’ll get lost, but she laughs, “So silly.”
Behind the scenes, Steffy is talking with staff when Liam appears. She gawps, “What are you doing here?” He says it’s a long story and asks, “Where’s Hope?” He explains his plan to surprise his wife and asks if he’s too late. Steffy tells him the preview was amazing; he would have been so proud. She tells him she feels she was wrong to question Hope, who loves him. Liam learns she went sightseeing and vows he’ll find her.
Out and about in Rome, Thomas points out a clock tower to Hope as they descend a set of stairs.
Elsewhere, Brooke tries to find her way to the Aventine keyhole. She looks at her phone and notices she has a low battery.

Ridge and Carter arrive at the keyhole site and Carter offers to stand in line if Ridge wants to look for Brooke. Ridge says its okay; she’ll be there soon. He hopes she’s not lost. They walk off to take a look.
Thomas and Hope continue to take in the sights of Rome with Thomas snapping photos of Hope beside a fountain.

Elsewhere, Liam looks around for Hope. He comes upon the fountain where they were only moments before but there’s no sign of them now.
On an overlook, Hope and Thomas take in the incredible sight of the Colosseum. They marvel over how long it’s been there.
At the Aventine keyhole, Ridge tries Brooke’s phone, but it goes to voicemail. He doesn’t think she’s coming. Carter looks through the keyhole and admires the scenery. He urges Ridge to look but the designer isn’t interested.
In another location, Brooke asks someone for directions.
At the keyhole, Carter finally convinces Ridge to take a look through the keyhole. On the other side, he sees Brooke come into view, looking around like she’s lost. Ridge says, “It’s unbelievable.”
On a street corner, Liam looks around for Hope and then keeps walking Above him, Thomas and Hope are on the overlook. He tells her how impressed he was with her today. It’s all so beautiful, the architecture… her. “I feel like you and I made some history today.” They smile at each other as Liam spots them from down below. Suddenly, Hope pulls Thomas into a passionate kiss. Liam reels and is practically vibrating as he watches them.
